About the Instructor

Hi, My name is Ray Colson and I'm the owner of LTC Firearms Course LLC. I was born and raised in Springfield, MA and I now reside in Ludlow, MA. I have been involved with and shooting firearms since the early age of ten when my father introduced them to me and they quickly became a passion for years to come. By the time I was fourteen I was ranked an expert shooter and have many trophies, metals, certificates and tournaments under my belt. My passion for firearms still grows every day. I have now had the opportunity to pass the passion onto my wife, children and many students over the years which has been very special to me. Now (2019) at the age of 50 years old, My credentials are:

I eagerly embrace the opportunity to teach others how to Respect, Handle and use firearms Safely. I shot IDPA ( International Defensive Pistol Association). I have wrestled for many years and have achieved a first place Western Mass Championship. I'm also a Self-Defense instructor with back ground in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Tae Kwon do. I have involvement with Law Enforcement and Military personal that work for me to help teach my classes. I am a Life member with NRA and Goal. I encourage others to get more involved to understand and protect our Second Amendment.
